Politique de remboursement
Return & Refund Policy
This Policy explains, in plain English, how returns and refunds work for the Ergonomic Memory Foam Seat Cushion and Car Seat Cover Towels, exactly how long each step takes, and the statutory rights that apply on top of our own policy in Australia, the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada and New Zealand.
Who is responsible for your return
DAILY VITA LABS is a registered trading name of URBAN CLOTHING PTY LTD. Wherever this Policy says "we", "us" or "DAILY VITA LABS", it means URBAN CLOTHING PTY LTD trading as DAILY VITA LABS. We are the seller of record for every order placed on dailyvitalabs.com and the party responsible for processing your return and refund, regardless of which facility your order was fulfilled or shipped from.
This Policy applies to orders of the Ergonomic Memory Foam Seat Cushion and Car Seat Cover Towels placed through dailyvitalabs.com and shipped to Australia, the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada or New Zealand.
Our 30-day return policy
Alongside your statutory consumer guarantee rights (explained country-by-country further down this page), DAILY VITA LABS offers a straightforward 30-day return window from the date your order is delivered. This applies whether you've simply changed your mind or the item isn't quite right for you — you do not need to show the product is faulty to use this policy.
This 30-day window is our own voluntary commitment, offered in every country we ship to. It sits on top of, and never reduces, any stronger statutory right available to you under the law of your country — where a statutory right gives you more time or a better remedy, that right still applies in full.
Return window
30 calendar days from the date of delivery, as shown by your carrier's tracking confirmation.
Condition required
Unused, in its original condition, with all components, tags and packaging included wherever possible, and proof of purchase (order number or receipt).
Refund method
Refunded to your original payment method — card, PayPal, Shop Pay or the digital wallet used at checkout. We do not issue cash or store credit unless you specifically request it.
Processing time
Refunds are issued within 10 business days of us receiving and inspecting your returned item. Your bank or card provider may then take a few additional days to display the funds.
Who pays return shipping
If you are returning an item because you've changed your mind, return shipping is your responsibility unless local law says otherwise (see the country-specific sections below). If the item is faulty, damaged in transit, or not what you ordered, we cover the cost of return shipping in full — contact us first and we'll organise this with you.
How to start a return
Contact us within 30 days
Email support@dailyvitalabs.com or call +61 479 095 200 with your order number and the reason for your return. There is no online return form to fill out — a real person on our Queensland-based team will reply directly.
Receive your return instructions
We'll confirm your return is eligible and send you the correct return address and any reference number to include with your parcel, tailored to your country.
Pack and send the item back
Pack the item securely in its original packaging where possible, include your proof of purchase, and post it to the address we provide. We recommend using a tracked shipping method.
We inspect and refund
Once we receive and inspect your return, we'll email you to confirm it has been accepted, and issue your refund to your original payment method within 10 business days.
Exactly how refund timing works
The 10-business-day figure refers to how long it takes us to process and issue your refund once your returned item arrives with us and passes inspection — it does not include the transit time for your parcel to reach us, or the time your bank takes to display the funds afterwards.
Step 1 — Transit to us
Varies by your location and shipping method chosen; typically a few days to two weeks for international returns.
Step 2 — Inspection
We check the returned item meets the condition requirements of this Policy, usually within 1–2 business days of arrival.
Step 3 — Refund issued
We process your refund to the original payment method within 10 business days of a successful inspection, and email you a confirmation.
Step 4 — Funds appear
Once issued, banks and card providers typically display the refund within 3–10 additional business days, depending on your provider.
If your order was paid using a combination of a gift card and another payment method, the gift card portion is refunded to a new gift card and the remainder to your original payment method. Shipping charges are refunded only where the return is due to our error, a fault, or where required by the statutory rights described below.
Faulty, damaged or incorrect items
If your Ergonomic Memory Foam Seat Cushion or Car Seat Cover Towels arrives faulty, damaged in transit, or is not what you ordered, please contact us before returning it — a photo of the issue helps us resolve it faster, and in many cases we can arrange a replacement or refund without asking you to send the item back at your own cost.
Manufacturing fault
A defect in materials or workmanship not caused by normal wear, misuse or an accident. You're entitled to a repair, replacement or refund under your statutory consumer guarantee rights, regardless of our 30-day policy.
Damaged in transit
If your item arrives damaged, contact us within a reasonable time of delivery with photos, and we'll arrange a free replacement or full refund, including original shipping costs.
Wrong item or colourway sent
If we've made a picking or dispatch error, we'll cover return shipping and send the correct item, or refund you in full if you'd prefer not to wait for a replacement.
Minor vs major failure
For a minor issue, we may offer a repair or replacement within a reasonable time. For a major failure — the item is unsafe, significantly different from its description, or substantially unfit for purpose — you can choose a refund or replacement.
Exceptions to our voluntary 30-day policy
These exceptions apply to change-of-mind returns under our own voluntary policy only. They never override or reduce a statutory right available to you under the law of your country, described in the next section.
Your statutory rights, by country
These rights apply automatically under law and sit alongside, never instead of, our own 30-day return policy above. These summaries are provided for transparency and general information; they are not a substitute for independent legal advice.
Australia
Australian Consumer Law (ACL)
Products come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth): acceptable quality, fitness for purpose, and matching their description. A major failure entitles you to choose a refund or replacement; for a minor failure, we may choose to repair within a reasonable time.
No change-of-mind obligation, offered anyway
The ACL does not require us to accept a change-of-mind return, but we choose to offer our 30-day policy above regardless.
Queensland-specific
As a business registered and headquartered in Alexandra Hills, Queensland, unresolved complaints may be raised with the Queensland Office of Fair Trading or, for matters of national scope, the ACCC.
Proof of purchase
An order confirmation email, receipt or bank statement showing the transaction is sufficient proof of purchase under the ACL — the original packaging is not a legal requirement for a statutory claim.
United States
No federal cooling-off right
Federal law does not require online retailers to accept returns for change of mind; our 30-day policy above is a voluntary commitment that applies to every U.S. order regardless.
FTC Act & implied warranty
Under the Federal Trade Commission Act and state implied-warranty law, goods must match their description and be fit for their ordinary purpose; a materially defective product may entitle you to a repair, replacement or refund.
State-specific posted-policy laws
States including California, New York and Virginia require that a merchant's return policy be clearly disclosed if it differs from a full refund; this Policy is that disclosure, published on our Return & Refund Policy page and referenced at checkout.
Restocking fees
We do not charge a restocking fee on eligible returns. If this ever changes, any fee will be clearly disclosed on this page before you complete a purchase, in line with state disclosure requirements.
United Kingdom
Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013
As a distance sale, you have a statutory right to cancel your order for any reason within 14 days of delivery, and a further 14 days to return the goods once you've told us you're cancelling. Our own 30-day policy is more generous and applies on top of this right.
Consumer Rights Act 2015
Goods must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described. Under the short-term right to reject, you may be entitled to a full refund within 30 days of delivery if a product is faulty; after that, a repair, replacement, price reduction or final right to reject may apply.
Return shipping under cancellation
If you cancel under the Consumer Contracts Regulations, you are responsible for the direct cost of returning the goods unless we have agreed otherwise, and we will refund your original standard delivery charge.
Escalation
Unresolved disputes may be referred to the Chartered Trading Standards Institute (CTSI) or a relevant Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) body. These rights apply consistently across England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.
Canada
Provincial consumer protection
Consumer protection for online purchases is primarily provincial. Legislation such as Ontario's Consumer Protection Act, 2002 can give remedies where goods are undelivered or misrepresented, alongside our own 30-day policy.
Implied warranty of quality
Provincial sale-of-goods legislation implies that products are of merchantable quality and fit for their intended purpose; a materially defective item may entitle you to a repair, replacement or refund regardless of our voluntary window.
Quebec-specific
Consumers in Quebec have additional protections under the Consumer Protection Act (Quebec), including specific rules on how a merchant's return policy must be clearly disclosed before purchase; this Policy serves that disclosure.
Competition Act
Our returns messaging is prepared to comply with the misleading advertising provisions of the federal Competition Act, applicable to representations made to Canadian consumers regardless of province.
New Zealand
Consumer Guarantees Act 1993
Goods are guaranteed to be of acceptable quality, fit for purpose and to match their description. Where a product fails to meet a guarantee, you're entitled to a repair, replacement or refund depending on whether the failure is minor or significant.
No statutory change-of-mind right, offered anyway
The Consumer Guarantees Act does not require us to accept a change-of-mind return, but our 30-day policy above applies to New Zealand orders regardless.
Fair Trading Act 1986
We describe our returns process accurately and do not make misleading claims about your rights, in line with the Fair Trading Act 1986, enforced by the Commerce Commission.
Cross-border shopping
As an overseas-based retailer, we clearly disclose delivery and return information for cross-border transactions; unresolved matters may be referred to the Commerce Commission or Consumer Protection (MBIE).
Return shipping and customs, across five countries
Because DAILY VITA LABS ships to Australia, the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada and New Zealand from a fulfilment network that may include facilities outside Australia, the correct return address depends on your delivery destination and where your specific order was fulfilled from. We will always confirm the correct return address with you individually when you contact us to start a return — please do not send an item back before receiving this confirmation.
Where a return crosses an international border, any customs paperwork required will be provided in your return instructions. Import duties, taxes or customs charges are not refunded by us and remain the responsibility of the customer, except where a refund is required in full due to our error or a product fault.
Late or missing refunds
If more than 10 business days have passed since we confirmed your refund was issued and you still haven't seen it, first check your bank or card statement again, then contact your card issuer or bank — processing times on their end can occasionally add a few extra days. If you've done this and still have questions, contact us at support@dailyvitalabs.com and we'll investigate directly.
If you paid by card and believe a refund has genuinely not been issued after this process, you may also be entitled to raise a chargeback with your card issuer; we would ask that you contact us first so we can resolve it directly and quickly, without the delay a chargeback process can involve.
Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time as our product range, fulfilment network or the law changes. The "last updated" date at the top of this page always reflects the current version, and any order placed before a change remains governed by the Policy in effect on the date of that order.
Contact us about a return
Every return and refund enquiry is answered directly by our Queensland-based support team, not an anonymous ticketing system.
